SOUTHERN REELS CHARTERS

  I am now a licensed captain, and I'm offering fishing trips out with me in my Key West Bay Boat. I fish out of the Virginia Beach area, and typically launch out of the public boat launches in that area. The launch locations will change depending on weather conditions, and also the time of the year.

Summer Trip Rates (May 1 - Oct 31):

 Half day charters (4 hours) are $600 for up to 3 people:

-Morning Trip runs from 7am to 11:00am

-Afternoon Trip runs from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

 Full Day charters (8 Hours) are $1200 for up to 3 people:

-Full Day Trips leave out at 7am and end roughly around 8 hours in.

Fall/Winter Trip Rates (Nov 1 - Apr 30):

 Half day charters (4 hours) are $400 for up to 3 people:

-Morning Trip runs from 7am to 11:00am

-Afternoon Trip runs from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

 Full Day charters (8 Hours) are $800 for up to 3 people:

-Full Day Trips leave out at 7am and end roughly around 8 hours in.

  All you need to bring is food, drinks, and any personal items you need. Fishing gear and tackle will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own gear if you want to, but please limit items to conserve space. Fishing license is not required, you are covered if you are on my boat. I do not have a porta potty so those situations are handled the old fashioned way.

  Also, be sure to bring a Large cooler with ice to keep in your vehicle for getting your catch home when we come back in. Maybe even 2 coolers, I have had many trips where the clients did not have enough cooler space to get their catch home. I do not offer fish cleaning services.

  These trips are heavily affected by weather and wind conditions. I will do my best to keep scheduled trips running, but rescheduling will happen often. If your trip is cancelled because of weather you will be allowed to immediately rebook another available date. Also keep in mind that I will do everything I can to get you on some good fishing, but it is fishing, and nothing is guaranteed.

  Please use the button below to check the wind conditions for your upcoming trip. These wind forecasts are only truly accurate roughly 2 days before the day you have selected, so keep that in mind. If you see winds predicted over 12 mph steady for your planned trip day, then it is most likely going to be rescheduled. The worst winds to have are North winds and 8mph is usually the cutoff. I am looking at this information daily, and I will be contacting you if I see any issues with your planned trip.
